One of the tactics of the jiQ folks in Snellville, GA, is to tell their crowd that certain things in the Quran or the practice of Islam are no longer valid or no longer practiced (that’s how you account for the “bad” things in the Quran…no longer valid). For instance, one of the first questions I asked them was about the Jizyah tax (the “thank you for letting me live” money paid by a Dhimmi). Of course I was told “Oh that doesn’t happen anymore…that was in old times”. Yeah? Tell that to those who have to live under the oppressive rule of Islam today. But hey, the Jizyah is easy, simple stuff. Let’s get down to something truly bothersome and talk about how the Quran allows men to treat women and children. Surely, Buddy Hoffman and his staff will say “Oh that doesn’t happen anymore…that was in old times”. You can read some more background on this problem in Talking Point #20.
Mohamed Morsi is the new president of Egypt. On 24 September, 2012, apparently while the jiQ folks were not looking, Egyptian television broadcast the below video. In it you can see and hear Muhammad Saad Al-Azhari of the Egyptian Constituent Assembly express his concern that a proposed change to the Egyptian constitution will forbid such things as child and wife beating, sex trafficking, and marital rape. The moderator says “Forget about your manhood” as he agrees with this Egyptian “leader” in trying to not to do away with this time-honored tragedies that the god of Islam has allowed to happen to women and children for ages. I think my favorite quote from the video is “If you have full sexual relations with your wife against her will, she will be able to file a complaint against you. That’s where things are headed.” I say, shame on ANY church that promotes “Chrislam” and the approval of such barbaric ways of thinking. Shame on ANY group of people who try to say that these lost souls are servants of the Most High God (of the Bible). They are savages and are nothing close to being even honorable men…
Here’s the video…see what you think. If you’re from the jiQ group, I’d love to discuss it with you.
You see, it’s a simple problem: the god of Islam has set women up as being less than, inferior to, men. They are so inferior that they are not even considered personable but property. They are the property of their men. As such, those men can do whatever they like with them (even some liberal judges here in America allow human atrocities citing the Quran as the man’s authority to have committed such acts). I have to ask, does that sound like the God of the Bible to you?
Actually, God (of the Bible) gave the woman a much higher, and, in fact, integrated, role to play with men. If you’re a Christian, believer in Messiah, and you’re reading this and you’re married, what does your wife (or husband) mean to you? Can you see yourself beating them? Can you even see yourself wanting to beat them? Of course not! Because He has placed His law on your heart (see Psalm 40:8) and He would never advocate such. From the moment He gave us woman, He told us how to treat her and respect her:
“And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”
Do you see what your role with her is, Christian? She is YOUR FLESH! You and she are ONE! And Christians, how many of you wouldn’t give your very life in her place RIGHT NOW? Of course you would! That’s not just a difference of a man’s heart, social or cultural upbringing or “the right thing to do”. That’s a gift from Yehovah God Himself, and one that no follower of the god of Islam will ever understand.
Haven’t we been told somewhere to treat others as we want to be treated ourselves? Well, I’d say the idea the god of Islam has about this is off base while the God of the Bible (as always!) has it exactly right. Hooray Yehovah!!
But there’s more: the God of the Bible is full of love and actually uses the picture of the woman as His chosen model for those He loves. He calls us the “Bride of Christ”. Messiah, Jesus (of the Bible) LOVES His Bride more than anything in the universe that He created! I thank God (of the Bible), literally, that I am His, that my wife is His, that my children are His, that my grandchildren are His, and that we have been shown clearly His instructions and mandates outlined in His Word as we serve His Word daily and grow in the grace and knowledge of His Son, Jesus Christ (of the Bible).
The god of Islam allows horrendous treatment of women and children. The God of the Bible calls me His Bride and showers love and mercy on me. He calls the little children to come to Him and uses them as a model of how we are to accept His teachings and enter and abide with Him forever in paradise. There is NO way the god of Islam is anything even remotely close to the God of the Bible, and…
Jesus is NOT in the Quran!
