In Sura 47:4-6 it is written that Jihad is an obligation for all Muslims in order to be forgiven their sins and to be able to enter Paradise. The *only* way for a Muslim to *know* that he is “saved” (that he will enter Paradise) is by the killing of as many Jews and Christians as possible and if he dies as a martyr.
Here’s the text, with some additions added by both the English version of the Quran from which I copied this and from myself (in blue) for explanation.
“So, when you meet (in fight – Jihad in Allah’s cause) those who disbelieve, smite (their) necks (translation: behead them) till when you have killed and routed many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives). Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islam), until the war lays down its burden. Thus you are ordered by Allah to continue in carrying out Jihad against the disbelievers till they embrace Islam and are saved from the punishment in the Hell-fire or at least come under your protection (in other words, until they become a dhimmi, a slave, a less-than-human citizen allowed to live in the vicinity of Muslims as long as they pay the Jizyah tax (“Thank you for letting me live” money), never try to witness to a Muslim, build a church for themselves, or any of a long list of forbidden activities), but if it had been Allah’s will, he himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (he lets you fight) in order to test some of you with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, he will never let their deeds be lost. He will guide them and set right their state. And admit them to Paradise which he has made known to them (i.e. they will know their places in Paradise better than they used to know their homes in the world).”
Did you notice the parts in bold text? This is the only SURE way to obtain entrance to Paradise. Without becoming a martyr, the Muslim’s good deeds are weighed against his bad deeds and, well, he had better hope the good outweighs the bad or that the scales are tipped in his favor!
Does that sound like the God of the Bible to you? My God gave me salvation through grace and entrance to Paradise the day His Son died on the cross. Yes, that’s right, His Son died for me! I would like to be a martyr for Messiah, but I don’t *have* to be in order to be assured eternity in His presence, and my entrance will never be about my good deeds versus bad because it isn’t about me. It’s all about HIM! So just remember, when one of the advocates of “Chrislam” tries to tell you that the two gods are the same…
…tell him that the god of Islam wants you to die for him, while the God of the Bible sent His Son to die for you – BIG DIFFERENCE!
Tomorrow I’ll post another explanation of the same group of Quran verses as provided by a Muslim. We’ll address a tactic called “taqiyya” in which the Muslim is allowed to lie in order to twist the situation in his favor. See you then.
Jesus is NOT in the Quran!
